This Fall, construction commenced on Broad Street Commons in Glens Falls, NY. This development will create a wonderful rental housing opportunity for the Glens Falls community, including 71 apartments at a range of incomes tailored for the area. This new affordable rental development is the result of collaboration between Regan Development Corporation and AIM Services, who will provide services for residents of eleven one bedroom apartments set aside for people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The development benefits from crucial financial support New York State Homes and Community Renewal, Regions Affordable Housing, the Community Preservation Corporation and the New York State Office of People with Developmental Disabilities.
Commercial Vitality for Community Goals: As a community building effort, the development will also serve as program space for the non-profit Fredette Family Foundation, which will use the space for its school mentoring programs. The Fredette Family Foundation was founded on this core belief: “When a child is hungry, cold, made fun of, bullied, or afraid they have no capacity or interest in learning how to develop character. These children need our immediate help.”
Regan Development is pleased to provide this important commercial space to the Foundation, to allow the Fredette Family Foundation to provide this important help to local children. Regan Development is proud to team up with the State of New York, Regions Bank, AIM Services and the Fredette Family Foundation to bring a new community asset to Glens Falls.
