Maple Commons, Croton Housing Network, & Croton Welcome Wagon Host Welcome Bag Drop-Off Celebration

Maple Commons hosted a welcome event for residents of the recently completed 33-apartment development in Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Residents were invited to gather in the development’s community room to receive complimentary gift bags carefully arranged by the Croton Welcome Wagon. The bags included snacks, a ShopRite gift card, and supplementary information highlighting the plethora of community resources and events in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson.

The Croton Welcome Wagon is a group of local Croton residents who formed a welcoming committee to pass on greetings and helpful information to newcomers to the village. As not all residents in the brand new affordable rental development are from the Village, this event provided tenants the opportunity to meet their neighbors, learn about the community and its vibrant resources, and enjoy snacks and refreshments together.

Nance Shatzkin, President of the Croton Housing Network and lifelong Croton resident, was also in attendance at the meeting to greet residents of the building along with Jeremy Regan, Development Coordinator at Regan Development, Esmeralda Radoncic, Building Manager of Maple Commons, and members of ShopRite, which operates a supermarket in the village, were also present to hand out holiday treats.

We’d like to thank the Croton Welcome Wagon, Croton Housing Network, the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, and ShopRite for their participation and organization of this incredibly welcoming event. We’d also like to thank the residents of Maple Commons for attending the celebration and learning more about the Village of Croton-on-Hudson.
